Salma has been practicing Pilates throughout the last 20 years beginning here in Vancouver and carrying her through her professional dance and choreography career in NYC. Meeting her mentor Julie Peterson, changed her life, and her ability to comprehend and work with injuries, and honor her body and where it’s at each day. This has been the foundation for her love of helping others move freely and strongly as they are capable individually. She has her 600hr compressive Pilates Certification from Core Pilates NYC, 500hr Yoga certification from ISHTA NYC (Big thank you to her mentors Peter Ferko & Aino Siren, Mona Anand and Sarah Platt – Finger), TRX certification and is a Level 2 MELT Method instructor.
Her true passion is bridging the gap between the body and the mind and breaking through limitations, creating peace physically and mentally. She’ll work you hard in the most nurturing way, with unique sequences and an innovative and extremely detailed approach.
